Selonian Language

Selonian is intended to be the Gaea version of English and it originated in Novia. The history will be developed over time.


Selonian is a language that arose in the feudal kingdoms of Amagosa and Carpathia and spread into what was to become Atlantica. Following the economic, political, military, scientific, cultural, and colonial influence of the Kingdom of Carpathia and Commonwealth of Amagosa it has been widely dispersed around the world, become the leading language of international discourse, and has acquired use as lingua franca in many regions and is the dominant language or in some instances even the required international language of communications, science, information technology, business, seafaring, aviation, entertainment, radio and diplomacy.

It is widely learned as a second language and used as an official language of the League of Nations and The Commonwealth countries, as well as in many world organisations. It is the second most natively spoken language in the world, after Mandarin and it is the most widely spoken language across Gaea.
