Names of Oceans/Seas | Proposal

Okay, so I came up with some names for the main oceans and seas on Gaea. Below is a map of what Gaea looks like, with the labels as well. Many of the names are either Latin or Romanian.

The oceans are fine, however I would prefer if the seas are left to the nations to name, like the sea between Carpathia and Amagosa

Exactly. Seas are generally named by those who live on their shores, and so it should be here too.

I already have a name for the one you labelled the Petite Sea - its the Kurosean Sea - and I'm pretty sure your Absemtius Sea already has a name, if not two or three.

Thats fine You can keep them. Look at the major oceans/seas and vote on that

hmmmmmm I'm not sure about those names yet. As Kevin said we'll name the seas and bays around Amagosa and Carpathia.

I'm not fond of Putenic Ocean, just doesn't sound right. I'll have a think and post some ideas during the week.

I propose the following;

Putenic changes to Andaman Ocean

Hesperius Sea to Carpathian Channel

Spes Sea to Gulf of Anerma

The area to the north and north-east of the Gulf of Anerma to be the Amagosan Sea

The area to north/north-west of Anerma to be named the King Edward Bay

Legatus Sea to be named Aruba Strait

Purifica Ocean to change to Mamara Ocean

Interesting, I dont have any problems with changing names or modifying them. As long as they get named

Its just a discussion, and remember it has to be "liked" by the majority and not just you to be accepted.
